As part of Parliament week Margaret Ritchie, MP for South Down, visited St. Mary’s High School at Westminster. She answered a range of questions from the students and staff about her work and her opinions on current political issues both national and international the school was delighted that she was able to announce the successful candidates for this year’s newly elected School Council and present the student representatives with their badges.
Councillor Colin Mc Grath hosted a meeting of the new School Council in the Council in the Council Offices in Downpatrick on Friday 16th October during Local Democracy Week. They were joined by Mrs Darling, Mrs Arkins and Mrs Flynn.
