As part of our Shared Education Programme, Year 10 students, who have chosen Occupational Studies in the collaboration block took part in a one day induction programme in Spruce Meadows, near Lisburn, on the 13th June 2016. This enabled students from each school the opportunity to meet in an informal setting and get to know each other before they meet in the classroom environment in September. Students who have chosen Occupational Studies will be involved in a shared classroom setting over the next 2 years and this will include provision at SERC , as well as the 3 schools involved in the project. The evaluations completed by the students clearly suggest that all involved had a great time and that many new friendships have been developed.
