"Everyone is Loving Life on Sports Day"

26th Jun 2015

June 2015 seen a very succesful Sports Day in St. Mary's High School.

The morning and early afternoon sessions, seen various students illustrate their atheletic ability, with fantastic support from their peers.

These events included the 100m, 200m and 400m race, the shot put, the long jump, the high jump and the relay race.

After lunch, the fun events took place. These included throwing the wellie, hula hooping, fancy dress relay and skipping rope. Not forgetting one of the hightlights of the day the "Total Wipe Out" Challenge. This challenge, and many of the other challenges involved Teachers competing against Teachers. The competive streak was evident in a few, all efforts were made to get extra bonus points for their teams!

Form Groups were competing against each other this year to win first prize overall.

Overall school results:

1st Place  9J

2nd Place 8LC

3rd Place 8CMM

Well done to all involved. It was such a team effort from pupils and staff alike.

We are looking forward to next year already, and hope that many of our senior pupils will come back after their exams to join in the fun.
