Women’s World Day of Prayer 2016

To mark Women’s World Day of Prayer, five students, alongside Sister Vianney, Miss Mc Laughlin, Mrs Arkins and Miss Burns attended a service, which was held in Down Cathedral on Friday 4th March at 7:30pm.

‘Receive children. Receive me’ was the title of the service written by the Christian women of Cuba. During the service, the students and staff got a glimpse into Cuba’s history, geography, culture and everyday life through three generations.

Joining with women of all ages and backgrounds, we joined in solidarity and in prayer. Cara Mulholland (Year Eight) who attended the service commented,

“I really enjoyed the Service. I had never been to anything like this before but it was such a lovely end to a busy week! I am hoping to go next year again!’
