Yesterday Year 13 and 14 Travel and Tourism students visited the Slieve Donard Hotel in Newcastle, completing a series of engaging workshops focused on the Hospitality, Leisure and Tourism industries. This event was organised by the Springboard Charity and the pupils enjoyed talking with a range of people representing various areas of tourism and hospitality. They were able to learn what employers are looking for in terms of skills and qualifications and they discovered the exciting career opportunities and the wide range of employment available in the industry. From making mocktails to touring the hotel the day was thoroughly enjoyed by all.
