Young Enterprise, St. George's Market 2015

4th Dec 2015
Young Enterprise, St. George's Market 2015

On Wednesday two companies from St Mary’s High School took part in the largest market for young people in Northern Ireland as part of Young Enterprise at St George’s Market, Belfast.

Both Holiday Hampers and pic-a-cup worked furiously in the lead up to the Trade Fair to ensure they had their stock to sell. Added pressure on pic-a-cup when one of their suppliers did not deliver and a parent, of one of our students, had to come to the rescue by making a trip to Belfast to purchase the required item.

All the hard work paid off on the day and both stalls looked fabulous and attracted the attention from BBC Newsline, who interviewed pic-a-cup’s Lisa Magennis, along with one other school out of the 60 schools represented. The Business Advisor singled out Lisa`s skills noting many more seasoned business people could learn from her.

More Trade Fairs to come with pic-a-cup heading to SERC on Tuesday 8th Dec and some local selling in school just in time for Christmas.
